MRC Skills Development Fellowships at King’s College London
In the areas of Genetics & Genomics, Clinical & Health Informatics, Medical Imaging & Computational Modelling
Salary from £36,441 - £42,915 per annum including London allowance, depending on experience. Clinical applicants will be appointed to the Clinical Research Fellow Scale (points 11-15; £37,255 - £44,561)
Applications are invited for Skills Development Fellowships funded by the Medical Research Council and the NIHR Maudsley Biomedical Research Centre, to be held at King’s College London.
These capacity-building fellowships seek to recruit outstanding early-career postdoctoral scientists who are looking to develop new skills in shortage areas of mathematics, statistics and computation, and apply them to medical research. These Fellowships will allow researchers to explore, consolidate and further develop their skills in a priority area in which they are already active or in which they are seeking training. We are particularly keen to attract researchers from quantitative backgrounds who wish to apply their skills to medical research.
These prestigious fellowships provide salary plus research and training costs for 3 years. Awards may be held in any part of the university but must be focused on one of the following Research Themes:
(A) Genetics & Genomics,
(B) Clinical & Health Informatics,
(C) Medical Imaging & Computational Modelling
Fellowships will also involve training in any of the Skills Area of
(1) Statistics
(2) Informatics
(3) Machine Learning and Predictive Modelling
(4) Mixed Methods & Health Economics.
