Subject: [SPAM] Re: nadal D-DIMER
Not seen this kit and therefore not saying that there are similarities, but we have previously been aware of qualitative D-Dimer kits.
For information, Clearview is no longer marketed and gabControl was withdrawn from UK/EU market following investigations and a Field Safety Notice.
Does anyone have details of a UK distributor for the NADAL D-Dimer kit?
If it is available in the UK market, it would be helpful to have details in order to contact the distributor regarding our UK NEQAS for Blood Coagulation D-Dimer POCT exercises.
Many thanks

Dear mailbase
has anyone looked at the NADAL cartridge D-Dimer device from Nal-von-minden?
The recent NICE guidance on VTE suggested that with a wells score of <=1 DDIMER testing by labs or POCT was sufficient to exclude proximal VTE This is backed up by a recent paper demonstrating that, in this group, assays with moderate sensitivity can reduce false negatives to a clinically acceptable level (<2%) and for anyone with sufficient strength the paper below gives a really good explanation of how to approach the stats:
https://acutecaretesting.org/en/articles/comparing-d-dimer-assays-using-likelihood-ratios-and-fagan-nomograms.
NICE does not define how good the POCT device has to be. The FDA do however - which is helpful. I cannot find anything on the above device.
