Engaging Communities with their industrial heritage creatively through collaborations with specialists makers & curators. Available as PAYE or a freelance contract
This is an exciting opportunity to join East Dunbartonshire Leisure Culture Trust & East Dunbartonshire Council in the communities engagement with a restored Kirkintilloch Town Hall & Industrial Heritage Centre.
The newly refurbished building and heritage display is due to open in March 2018. The supporting programme explores the engagement of local people in heritage in creative & innovative ways through collaborations with specialists, makers & curators.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed individual who can successfully engage the local community in the industrial heritage of the area through activity led heritage learning. You will also support a co curated exhibition & events programme. These exhibitions will be created by working with local people & makers,exploring an element of industrial heritage, producing a creative response to research & learning.
The successful applicant will support the planning,coordination, monitoring and evaluation of these activities, events and exhibitions working closely with a creative heritage team.
This post will operate as part of a wider Arts, Heritage & Cultural team within East Dunbartonshire Leisure and Culture Trust.

Duration: A temporary contract of 9 months
