We are looking to recruit a post-doctoral scientist to work on a new
project developing plants and fungi as low-cost, sustainable production
platforms for biosynthesis of insect pheromones.
The position is based in the Patron Lab (http://nicolajpatron.com/) at
the Earlham Institute and is funded through the European Research Area
COBIOTECH program for three years from April 2018.
We have excellent and friendly collaborators in Spain, Germany and
Slovenia. The project will use synthetic biology, comparative
transcriptomics, metabolic engineering and genome editing/engineering
approaches, and will provide many opportunities for training, travel and
collaboration.
Closing date for application is 20th February 2018.
