Hi Ian,
We have two versions of access to this: online and via a set number of licences on PCs within the department. Due to cost, the decision has been taken not to renew the former. It was very poorly used, I think because it's so specialised, and generally we don't restrict usage of certain resources to certain users. We’ve never issued any sort of warning from the library and I don’t know what the department does. I think the description has probably been enough to let people know what to expect, and the images on the front pages aren't too gruesome.

Subject: [lis-e-resources] Acland Anatomy
Looking for some thoughts on Acland Anatomy from Ovid.
If you know what this resource is, you'll know it can be a sensitive subject in terms of content. It has recently been purchased by our Faculty of Health and Wellbeing.
I'm wondering if anyone else has a subscription, and if so do you allow access to all students or restrict it to just the medial faculty students? If you allow access to all, do you put an explicit content warning anywhere?
Any thoughts greatly appreciated.
Ian
