Dear everyone,
does anyone have (or know of) a guide on "How to write a retention schedule", which is aimed at non-records management colleagues, at all? Does anyone leave the writing of a RRS to their colleagues, with or without support?
I'm aware that some organisations take a more stringent approach to the creation of RRSs, and indeed to permissions on who can lodge records on servers, etc. - but I'm curious about the other end of the spectrum, and in how far it's feasible / desirable to delegate more specialist records management tasks to non-specialist staff.
Personally, I'm keen to work with colleagues as a records manager, provide them with templates etc. - but it may also be useful for them to have a guide they can refer to when I'm not available, or to get them started, for example. I've had a look back over this list's archives, and have also browsed online, but not finding anything much like this in the first instance - so any pointers or thoughts gratefully received!
With thanks and best wishes,
