Hi Rachel,
It probably comes down to the mechanics of the e-mail delivery. Does
the e-mail sender have SPF and DKIM records, for example? Your
developers might like to register a cheap or free account with a
reputable e-mail provider and forward your mail out through them:
they'll already be doing all the relevant anti-spam things. There are
loads of options - we're happily using http://fastmail.com/ at the
moment, for example.
