Dear Wing-shing,
I much respect you as a critical geographer in Hong Kong, yet you aren't the boss of the EARCAG
(the East Asian Regional Conferences in Alternative Geography). Therefore you cannot post the
message such as this to a public listerv, i.e. Crit-geog-forum in the name of the 'The Steering
Committee of EARCAG'. I am also a member of the Steering Committee of the EARCAG, yet I
have never been consulted to post your message to the Crit-geog-forum listserv.
I know currently there are diversified views as to the 6th GCEG in the EARCAG. Yet, as the diversity
nourishes the critical thoughts, I have not dared to propose it to the Steering Committee.
Before the dominating global capitalism and the neo-liberal state power, we must organise
ourselves in the spirit of mutual comradeship, rather than dwelling on trifles. The struggles are
never easy, but face a lot of impediments and oppressions, which we must overcome. As you are
surely aware of this as a critical geographer.
Comradely,
