Dear all,
Just to say a big thank you to all of the organisers of the fabulous 'History of Women in Engineering in the UK', that was held at the IET on Monday. http://www.theiet.org/events/2017/250964.cfm
We had some great speakers and a really interesting line up.
A lot of the photos that were shown on the day are on my Pinterest site here, in case anybody is interested, and if you have more that I could add then please let me know. https://www.pinterest.co.uk/dawnbonfield/women-in-engineering-history/
And I am also keen to update the Magnificent Women website with some of these new discoveries, so if you want me to add anybody to the list of women already there, then please get in touch. http://www.magnificentwomen.org.uk/magnificent-women.html
I am inspired, too, to get back into adding things to Wikipedia.
best wishes
Dawn
PS If anybody knows of a way to transcribe oral histories with an app that allows the tape to be started and stopped by voice activation (rather than a foot pedal) please let me know. Or if anybody has a foot pedal I could borrow, also please get in touch. Thanks.
