Brighton College is seeking to appoint an Archivist with effect from January 2018.
The College Archivist is a central role at Brighton College. Working within the Development and Engagement Team, they are responsible for creating, implementing and maintaining a physical and digital archive, while also acting as a key lead on the school’s records and data management processes. The Archivist will work with pupils, teachers, staff, volunteers and members of the public every day, realising projects that bring the College’s history to life.
It is an exciting time to join the team at Brighton College, as we embark on a large outward-facing WWII commemoration project. This is a broad role, and would ideally suit an enthusiastic professional looking to manage an established archive within an engaged community and a fast-paced environment.
Deadline for applications is Friday 24th November.
Hours of work: 37.5 hours per week - 8.30am to 5.00pm. Monday to Friday with occasional evening and weekend work as required.
Salary: £22,500
