[with apologies for cross-posting]
CALLS Hub will be holding a webinar on Wednesday 15th November, 2-3pm introducing the range of migration-related data available in the ONS LS, Northern Ireland Longitudinal Study and Scottish Longitudinal Study and the unique potential they hold for researchers. It also features presentations by prominent academics in the field:
- Prof Maarten van Ham, TU Delft - "Migration, occupational mobility and regional escalators in Scotland"
- Dr Ian Shuttleworth, Queens University Belfast - "Are we becoming more migratory? An analysis of internal migration 1921-2011"
- Dr Myles Gould, University of Leeds - "Does internal migration in Northern Ireland increase religious and social segregation? Perspectives from the Northern Ireland Longitudinal Study (NILS) 2001-2007"
There will also be an opportunity for Q&A with the presenters and representatives of CALLS Hub. This may be of particular interest to any researchers considering using the LSs for migration research.
