Dear experts,
I have read this page https://fsl.fmrib.ox.ac.uk/fsl/fslwiki/Orientation%20Explained but am still slightly confused about the issue and would like someone to confirm that:
1.) my images are oriented according to the neurological convention
2.) they are simply flipped in the FSLEyes viewer
3.) I go ahead and registered them to MNI152_T1_2mm_brain standard space and don't have to make any adjustments before starting my analysis.
The header of an image contains the following information:
qform_xorient Left-to-Right
qform_yorient Posterior-to-Anterior
qform_zorient Inferior-to-Superior
sform_name Scanner Anat
sform_code 1
sto_xyz:1 0.700000 0.000000 0.000000 -84.000000
sto_xyz:2 0.000000 0.700000 0.000000 -112.000000
sto_xyz:3 0.000000 0.000000 0.700000 -126.000000
sto_xyz:4 0.000000 0.000000 0.000000 1.000000
sform_xorient Left-to-Right
sform_yorient Posterior-to-Anterior
sform_zorient Inferior-to-Superior
file_type NIFTI-1+
file_code 1
However, when I open the image in FSLeyes, the R is on the left side and the L is on the right side.
Thank you, your help is greatly appreciated!
Lucia
