External examiner is sought for pre-sessional, international foundation and international pre-master business programmes at the University of Bolton.

The pre-sessional programme, delivered and assessed at HE4, runs throughout the year with start dates arranged for smooth progression on to degree programmes. International students can study for up to 28 weeks with each 7 week stage aiming to raise students' language level by up to half an IELTS band. The number of weeks students study depends on their language level which can range from IELTS 4 to IELTS 5.5. The assessment process for the first 3 stages requires students to submit a portfolio of work for reading, writing, speaking and listening. The assessment for the final stage includes both exams and portfolio assessments.

There are international foundation programmes for business, law, psychology, computing and games, health and human sciences and engineering. There is one start date for these programmes in January with students progressing on to degree programmes in September. On these programmes students study two academic English modules (HE4), alongside subject specialist modules delivered by the relevant school (FE3).

The 12 week international pre-master business programme (HE6) has one start date in May with students progressing on to masters level study in September. Modules studied include academic English, research skills and business/management.

Expressions of interest along with CVs should be sent to Sally Preece at [log in to unmask]
