AHRC Ramsay Project Music RA, 2018-21

Grade 7, £34,520 - £38,833 per annum (pro-rata at 0.4FTE)
This post is for a postdoctoral researcher to make a leading contribution to the AHRC Edinburgh Ramsay Project working with Professor Murray Pittock (PI/General Editor) and Dr David McGuinness. Specifically, the job requires expert knowledge in music of early eighteenth-century Scotland and its sources. The successful candidate will also be expected to contribute to the formulation and submission of research publications and research proposals as well as help manage and direct this project as opportunities allow. (S)he will principally be engaged in working on the textual editions of Allan Ramsay’s Gentle Shepherd and Tea-table Miscellany from a musical point of view. The appointed candidate will be based in the Centre for Robert Burns Studies project room in 7 University Gardens.
