This brings the total number of Accredited Archive Services<http://www.nationalarchives.gov.uk/archives-sector/archive-service-accreditation/accredited-archive-services/> to 104, passing one hundred awards almost exactly four years after the first awards were made. Huge congratulations to all the successful services. At this major milestone for the Archive Service Accreditation programme, it seems a good moment to thank the programme partners, the Accreditation Committee<http://nationalarchives.gov.uk/archives-sector/archive-service-accreditation/management-of-archive-service-accreditation/> which governs the programme, my colleague assessors across all the home nations assessment partners, the peer reviewers who work with us on assessment in England, and above all, those archive services who have applied in the programme's early years, whatever the outcome of your application. We look forward to many more in the coming years.
Thanks also to all who have contributed views on the refresh of the programme, which will help us to improve and strengthen Accreditation for the future. Applications will be paused in spring to allow for updates resulting from the feedback received - we will keep you posted as the refresh develops.
Best wishes,
Melinda
