The BRACT crop transformation facility at the JIC has a long history of
providing crop transformation resources to the research community.
Recently we have demonstrated targeted gene knock-outs in wheat, barley,
Brassica oleracea, Brassica napus and tomato using RNA-guided Cas9.
We now have BBSRC funding to provide this capability to the UK research
community free of charge.
We are able to provide guide selection, construct assembly,
transformation and some initial screening for mutations.
Please contact Dr Tom Lawrenson ([log in to unmask]) to discuss
your precise requirements.
The deadline for expression of interest relating to targets in wheat,
barley, Brassica oleracea, Brassica napus and tomato is 17th November
2017.
Please pass this on to any of your colleagues who might be interested in
this outstanding resource.
