We QC meters at 2 levels fortnightly. We have 40+ meters so do 20 per week.
We use a dipper QC from Thermo. Works well, we use 1 bottle of each level weekly.
This is done by POCT band 4.

Hi Mailbase
May I ask (again) what IQC process (if any) you have in place for those of you with urinalysis meters in your POCT remit.
In particular I am interested in :-
1)Those sites using Clinitek (we have Status plus) plus Clinitek hCG cassette 2)Materials used; little on the market to cover lower limit for hCG, bar WEQAS.
3)Frequency of testing
4)Anyone else using Quantimetrix (apart from Harrogate), or Checkstix - comments please?
Thanks
Kind regards
Pauline

Hi Theresa
Out of interest, what urine preg devices do you have and do you have issues with false positives (blood and leucocytes)?
Kind regards

Hi Helen,
We chose to go with separate devices. We have 35 urilyzers but only 14 pregnancy test sites. Meant we could look at what was best in both situations.
