Call for Papers 2018
The Centre for Social Sciences (Hungarian Academy of Sciences) is
organizing a workshop on
*Cultural Heritage, Social Cohesion and Place Attachment*
between *20–21 March 2018*.
The main focus of this workshop will be to explore the relationship between
cultural heritage (both built/material and intangible/immaterial), social
cohesion and place attachment. The workshop serves as a foundation for
future joint research applications especially to the EU Calls for Horizon
2020.
The workshop seeks to identify case studies and examples of these processes
in action in both urban and rural contexts. Ideally, presented papers
should focus on the relationship between cultural heritage, place
attachment and social cohesion, or a partial combination of these themes.
However, papers will also be welcome which focus on the role of cultural
heritage and/or cultural tourism in urban and rural development and the
implications for local residents or communities.
Selected papers of the workshop will be considered for publication in the
2018 English special issue of *Socio.hu Social Science Review*, the
double-blind peer-review journal of the Institute of Sociology, Centre for
Social Sciences, Hungarian Academy of Sciences.
