Dear Lee,
SPM will check that the first session (ie subject here) will have 10
conditions defined. If that's not the case for you (and if any other
subject doesn't actually have 10 conditions) then just don't use the
"Factorial design" option when specifying your model: contrasts will not
be created automatically for you but at least you will be able to
estimate the model and specify the contrasts by hand yourself.
