Dear members of the HDCA TG on Children and the Youth,
I hope this e-mail finds you well.
I am forwarding to you a request from Daniel Eisenkraft Klein,
graduate student (in cc). I hope someone will be able to give him some
suggestions!
"I'm a graduate student in the Exercise Sciences department (within the
physical cultural stream) at University of Toronto and I'm beginning
research on how the Capabilities Approach can serve as a model for
policies around sport and physical activity in Canada. Would any of you
be able to point me in the right direction for any type of related
research that has been done on this in the past? It lies at the
intersection of a number of fields, including public health, policy,
children, and education, but I haven't found anything as
narrowly-focused as my own research".
I also would like to share with yout that the JHDC has just published
our review of the book "A Philosophical Examination of Social Justice
and Child Poverty" by Gottfried Schweiger and Günter Graf. I encourage
everyone to read the book!
