A Sense of Place: Arts, enterprise and placemaking, is an interdisciplinary conference that will bring together arts funders, policymakers in local and regional government, artists and academics through a discussion of the impact of art practice on ‘a sense of place’.
A Sense of Place: Arts, enterprise and placemaking is on this weekend at the University of Bedfordshire's Luton campus, the School of Art & Design, The Hat Factory Arts Centre and The Mall over the 3rd, 4th and 5th November 2017.
The event, hosted in Luton, the site of recent Arts Council Investment in the creative industries, will give local, national and international delegates the opportunity to discuss how creative practice benefits social cohesion, creates rural and urban identity and helps grow the economy in towns such as Luton.
The full programme is available online here: http://www.testbeds.beds.ac.uk/a-sense-of-place
