Hi all,
I bring news of an interesting article that might be off most list members' radar
(read: I know about it cos I'm so dazzlingly eclectic):
http://www.tandfonline.com/doi/pdf/10.1080/01419870.2016.1145713
Some useful remarks in there about accent, lexis, and other features of variation -
all a bit vague from a linguistic point of view, but useful as in-roads into issues
of prestige and stigma in contexts of intergenerational immigration, and for
cross-disciplinary value.
