An interesting and unique opportunity has arisen at Edinburgh World Heritage that would particularly suit a student currently undertaking study in Records and Archives Management.
Edinburgh World Heritage is an independent charity that aims to connect people to their heritage. It provides advice and assistance in conserving historic buildings and engages people directly with the rich history of their city. The volunteer project is to survey, catalogue and organise the organisation's paper and electronic records, some of which comprise interesting heritage conservation, interpretation and learning projects dating back to the early 1970s.
Based at Bakehouse Close, as well as undertaking the project, the volunteer will assist in an initial scoping exercise and help to develop a project plan to determine the breadth and estimated timescales of the project. A flexible approach is welcomed within mutually agreed timescales.
