Dear all,
With apologies for cross-posting.
The British Library is looking to recruit an Information Compliance Manager. The role is a full time, fixed term position for 24 months at a salary of £42,343 per annum.
As Information Compliance Manager for one of the world’s greatest research libraries you will make sure that we comply with Data Protection, Freedom of Information, and related legislation and regulatory requirements such as ROPSI and PCI DSS. You will use your experience in this field to support the Library’s official Data Protection Officer in the performance of their statutory duties, develop and manage our programme of data protection work in advance of the General Data Protection Regulation, and develop practices and procedures to manage all aspects of information risk.
The successful candidate will have substantial experience of responsibility for managing information compliance in a large or complex organisation, preferably in either the public or cultural sectors. Key skills will include detailed knowledge of information compliance, information risk, and information security (preferably gained through the attainment of formal qualifications), the willingness and ability to take responsibility for the creation and provision of training in this area, and excellent communication and IT skills.
In return we offer a competitive salary and a number of excellent benefits. Our pension scheme is one of the most valuable benefits we offer, as our staff can become members of the Alpha Pension Scheme where the Library contributes 20.9%. Another significant benefit the Library provides is the provision of a flexible working hours scheme which could allow you to work your hours flexibly over the week and to take up to 5 days flexi leave in a 3 month period. This is on top of 25 days holiday from entry and public and privilege holidays.
