Content Online and IEEE are offering you and your institution FREE training and promotion for your IEEE Xplore® digital library subscription. 



Your IEEE Client Services Manager, Paul Henriques, will be available between 20-24 NOVEMBER 2017 to carry out training and promotion throughout UK Universities.



Paul can deliver several different sessions depending on your requirements, including:



IEEE XPLORE UPDATE FOR LIBRARIANS AND ADMINISTRATORS (30 MINUTES) 

This workshop covers best practices for managing your IEEE Xplore subscription. Learn about administrative tools, title lists, and OpenURL registration, plus how to add your contact information to the IEEE Xplore home page, use our discovery tool guides, set up remote access, download COUNTER-compliant usage statistics, and find other resources which can help you promote and manage your online subscriptions.



IEEE XPLORE INTRODUCTION FOR UNDERGRADUATES (45 MINUTES)

Give your new students an introduction to IEEE Xplore and get them searching like a professional in no time with this overview of best practices for maximizing features of IEEE Xplore. Covering search techniques, setting up alerts, downloading equations, finding patent citations, and much more. 



HOW TO GET PUBLISHED WITH THE IEEE (60-90 MINUTES) 

Increase the visibility of your research and build author credibility by publishing in a leading IEEE journal or conference. Learn how to identify the best journal or conference for your work and navigate the IEEE paper submission and peer review process. Review the required elements and proper structure of a manuscript to avoid reasons why papers may be rejected. Also learn about IEEE’s Open Access options!



BOOST YOUR CAREER WITH IEEE XPLORE (45 MINUTES)

Give your students and researchers insights into ways to boost their CV, tools to help job searching, prepare for interviews and gain valuable experience by using IEEE Xplore as well as tapping into the many ways IEEE can support students.

ABOUT PAUL HENRIQUES

Paul is the IEEE Client Services Manager for Europe and Africa. Paul works closely with universities to provide training for the IEEE Xplore Digital Library, IEEE publishing sessions for new and early career researchers as well as Prior art (patent) searching with IEEE Xplore sessions. In additional, Paul provides support to organisations with IEEE subscriptions to help raise awareness of IEEE at their locations as well as increase usage. Paul previously worked as a patent searcher for the United States Patent & Trademark Office (USPTO) where he focused on prior art searching for patent examiners.
