Hi Belinda
We do report ionised calcium, but the validation of our new analysers was against the previous analyser. How it was first introduced is not clear, but plenty of data on performance of the analyte would be obtained from IQC and EQA over an extended period if you were looking for compliance.

Subject: Ionised Calcium
Just wondering if any of you report ionised calcium on your gas analysers?
If so how did you evaluate - does your lab measure it?
Do you have any concerns about it being read as total calcium?
Any feedback would be helpful.
Many thanks
Belinda Davies
