Dear Colleagues,
I am rather a silent member of the AACORN list, but I am following its
development. Until now, when a very interesting possibility came up.
Main area of my interest is humanistic management understood as a field
of humanistic reflection on the man in the organization and also the
field which take its methods and subjects from the Humanities like the
epistemological reflection. I try to use this kind of approach to
describe and analyze the reality of digital technologies which are
undoubtedly one of the most interesting and most important phenomenon of
our time. I published three books on this subject. I work in the
Institute of Culture of the Jagiellonian University in Kraków, Poland
(http://www.en.uj.edu.pl/en). Please visit my site for further
information: http://rmcg.pl/?lang=en.
I am looking for the researchers who have similar interests to build a
small group (2-3 persons) as a team which can establish their own
special session during the International Conferences on Industrial
Informatics which will be organized under the auspices of the IEEE - the
oldest and biggest technical organization in the world. The last one
took place in Emden, Germany
(http://indin2017.i2ar.de/general-information.html), the next will take
place in Saint-Petersburg and Porto. Because of the extraordinary speed
and scope of digital technology development this part of reality and the
part of investigation suffers from lack of the humanistic and social
reflection. They are aware of this lack and looking for the specialists
like the representatives of the humanistic management. Actually
humanistic management perfectly fits their demands.
Please let me know if you are interested in the collaboration on this
project or you need more information.
Best regards
Rafal Maciag, ass. professor, Institute of Culture, Jagiellonian University
