The Department of Computing and Informatics, Faculty of Science of Technology, Bournemouth University working in partnership with IQ HealthTech Ltd., welcomes applications for a fully funded PhD studentship in designing safe and effective self-adaptive Electronic Prescription Services (EPS) for improved end-user experience for repeat prescriptions. The studentship is for 3 years, which will begin in January 2018. The student will be supported by an annual £14,000 stipend and up to an additional £3,000 to support training and development costs during the valid studentship period.
The match funder, IQ HealthTech Ltd. (Company Reg No. 07684840) is a leading chemotherapy prescribing solution provider in the UK working closely with the private healthcare and NHS sectors across the country.
The successful candidate will work as a full time Postgraduate Researcher (PGR) within the Department under the supervision of a group of experienced academics from Human Computer Interaction Research Group (BUCHI) and Cyber Security Research Group (BUCSR) as well as Coventry University. The PGR will also be requested to spend a minimum of one day at IQ HealthTech Ltd. every week working closely with the company supervisor. In addition, the PGR will receive advices from the Department of Nursing and Clinical Sciences (advisor TBC), Bournemouth University.
