We are seeking a senior Translational Biomarker & Biostatistics expert to work on early clinical portfolio projects with a deep biological understanding primarily in the areas of infectious diseases, inflammation and immunology. The position requires a proficiency in using genetic sequencing, proteomics and clinical trial data, to enable proper data integration for in depth exploration.
In the Pharmaceutical Sciences Department of Roche Pharma (pRED) the successful applicant will:
Integrate a team of data analysis experts who performs statistical and bioinformatics analyses for discovery/validation of new targets and biomarkers, monitoring drug effects, as well as elucidating the mechanism behind diseases
Provide biostatistics/bioinformatics support to internal R&D projects and will collaborate with external colleagues (consortia, academics, CRO).
Present analysis results and provide interpretation to scientists and management
Maintain and expand expertise in various statistical methods and computing tools to leverage internal and external data sets to drive decisions
Develop biomarker strategies to enable and support effective implementation of personalized medicines with major focus on Immune & Inflammatory drug discovery/development projects, in collaboration with preclinical and early clinical project teams
Be leading and contributing to projects that involve diagnostic tools, omics approaches, comparative genomics, and database applications to support early clinical teams in the selection of the right molecular biomarkers
Collaborate with the project teams in design and development of clinical protocols, statistical analysis plans for exploratory data analysis and ensure programming integrity and compliance for data analyses and the reporting of results
