Topic: Acceptance Sampling for Industrial Auto-Samplers
A tax-free PhD scholarship of NZ$25,000 per annum, plus fees, is offered for 3 years. This PhD scholarship is to be held in the Statistics and Bioinformatics group, Institute of Fundamental Sciences (http://ifs.massey.ac.nz/), Palmerston North, Massey University, New Zealand. Some travel funding is also available. An enhanced level of funding is also possible after confirmation of PhD registration, which normally occurs after the first year of study.
The successful candidate will develop new sampling inspection analytics for industrial automatic samplers under the supervision of Dr K. Govindaraju and Prof. Mark Bebbington. Required qualifications & experience:
-MSc or BSc (Hons, First Class or Second Class Division 1) in Statistics / Operations Research / Industrial Engineering.
Must have completed an advanced probability or stochastic processes course at 4th year level.
Experience in statistical programming languages, preferably in R.
