We are looking for an enthusiastic person to join Lancashire Clinical Trials Unit with the aim to support research and knowledge transfer activities of the Faculty of Health & Wellbeing. The Senior Research Assistant will assist in providing statistical advice and support in the design, conduct and analysis of clinical studies and allied research within the Lancashire Clinical Trials Unit and more widely within the Faculty of Health and Wellbeing.
The post holder will need to hold a good honours degree (2:1 or above) or equivalent in a mathematical or scientific discipline alongside an MSc in statistics (or other relevant MSc with substantial statistical component). Experience of undertaking research in a work (or study) environment as well as having produced/ contributed to the production of written research reports is also required.
Excellent oral and written communication skills are a must in addition to good written report writing skills. The post holder will have knowledge and understanding of scientific methods underpinning research and knowledge of medical statistics and clinical trials.
