Hi Helen. Is this query raised from the perspective of a landlord or an employer. I can comment from an employer perspective and would say that allowing the dog in the workplace could be a reasonable adjustment and would depend on an individual being able to explain the support role the dog fulfils. Clearly there would be a number of additional factors to take into account in determining what might be reasonable, but this is where I would start.
Hope this helps.

Subject: [SUSPECTED WCC SPAM] Assistance dogs at work
Hi All
Does anyone have experience of permitting an unregistered / untrained assistance dog into a workplace (office)?
I am advised that the definition of an assistance dog is fairly loose and only one UK industry specifies that an assistance dog must be registered and that if an employer / landlord queries the definition / action it is a civil matter.
The query relates to assistance connected to Dyslexia and other ND differences. Any experience / wisdom welcomed.
