Hi Theresa,

We also have Inform ll and allow all trained staff access to all meters. To limit users to certain areas would produce a lot of problems with staff and even meters being moved around from ward to ward.

Regards

Jane.

Hi Theresa,

We have the Inform II meter in our 11 hospitals and staff travel between sites and work on different wards, including bank staff so we allow access to all meters for all users. As long as the users have their own password to gain access to the meters we don't have any issues.

Kind Regards,

Gemma

Hi Theresa

It depends on the meter capabilities and the network. We have all users assigned to all areas now, but this has caused some issues with the meters being slower.

However , having staff assigned to only certain areas causes more problems when staff move around .

Thanks

Can I ask those of you with connected glucose meters if you allow staff access to all the meters or limit their access to the meters on their ward/unit?

Our IG department are unhappy with staff having Trust wide access.
