Lecturer in Sports Coaching Science

Salary scale: £32, 004 - £36, 001 per annum + benefits

This is an exciting time to join the Sport and Health team at Newman. The successful applicant will join a highly experienced and qualified team with the opportunity to shape future provision and delivery. Recent developments at Newman have seen significant investment in teaching spaces, our programmes make good use of laboratories and technological teaching rooms in the delivery of innovative, high quality, student led learning and teaching. You will be teaching modules on our single honours BSc Sports Coaching Science programme and its accompanying BSc Top Up course, along with related teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
Applicants should be educated to Masters’ Degree level in a subject related to Sports Coaching Science, and possess a PhD or be working towards a PhD or equivalent in a related discipline. Experience of coaching and pedagogy, the ability to teach across interdisciplinary programmes and to contribute to the delivery in the following areas is also essential:
-Sports Coaching
-Pedagogy
-Research Methods
