Training the Trainer Course with the Royal Society of Biology - 15 August

Whether training is a big part of your role, or just a small aspect of your job, our Training the trainer course will help you to design and deliver effective training programmes. You will gain confidence in how to present information effectively with variety and flair and acquire the skills to deal with the dynamics of group learning.
Highly practical, this course will introduce you to new techniques, enhance your communication skills and provide opportunities to ‘have a go'.

- Facilitation of the group and managing difficult people
There will be refreshment breaks in the morning and afternoon at around 11:15 and 14:45 and a longer break for lunch at 13:00. The venue contains a cafe and garden which may be used at lunchtime.
Trainer:
Jakki has over ten years' experience as a consultant, trainer and coach specialising in facilitation skills, training the trainer and organisational communication. Jakki has had extensive experience with not-for-profit organisations and professional bodies.
Jakki has an MBA from Manchester Business School, and post-graduate certificates in training practice, coaching and TESOL (teaching English to speakers of other languages). She is an Associate of the CIPD (Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development). She has lived and worked in Europe and Asia.

Certification and Continuing Professional Development (CPD):
We evaluate all of our training events, to make sure that we maintain a high quality of training. A certificate of attendance will be provided after the event. This event has been approved by the Royal Society of Biology for purposes of CPD and can be counted as 18 CPD points.
Fees:
Society members - £150 +VAT
Staff and members of Member Organisations, staff of SCAS members and staff of HUBS members - £250 +VAT
Non-members - £350 +VAT
