Midlands Computational Chemistry
University of Sheffield

The first annual Midlands Computational Chemistry Meeting will be held at the
University of Sheffield on Wednesday 26th July 2017.

note that, for the purposes of this meeting, we consider Midlands to be
anywhere where you could get to Sheffield for a day meeting.
Registration will be in the Chemistry Department (Dainton Building, no. 117 on
the map at https://www.sheffield.ac.uk/polopoly_fs/1.697545!/file/campus-map-a-z-april-17.gif ), with talks in the nearby Arts Tower lecture theatre 4.
There are slots for contributed talks (15 mins + 5 mins for questions) and
there will be a poster session. Preference for talks will be given to
postgraduate students, postdocs, and recently appointed academics. There is no
formal registration cost although a charge of £10 per person will be made to
cover the cost of lunch and refreshments. The meeting is sponsored by the
Theoretical Chemistry Group of the RSC.
If you are coming to the meeting please contact Dr Grant Hill
([log in to unmask]) letting him know how many people are coming from
your group so that the necessary arrangements for lunch etc. can be made. You
should also send the names of any speakers and titles of talks. Please could
you also forward this email to any colleagues you think may be interested in
attending.
