Hello,
We use EZproxy for Web of Science (also most of our other resources).
Without getting too deeply into the technicalities, this relies on WoS being set up to recognise your institutional IP range (so no login required from an on-campus device), and effectively mimics being on campus for remote users.
In practice we direct all users through EZproxy (on-campus users included) so we can just have one URL for each resource, and a consistent user experience.
Certainly worth investigating to see if it meets your needs and your user's needs, and feel free to contact me off list if you'd like more info.

Subject: [lis-e-resources] Web of Science for off-campus users
Hello Everyone,
We have a lot of distance learners who would use Web of Science if it was accessible for them. We generally use Athens for remote access but WoS uses a roaming userid and password system which relies on them coming to campus to set up their credentials. Once set up the credentials expire after 6 months. How do other institutions deal with this?
Any information will be much appreciated,
Thanks,
Alison Shearer
