From María Luján Oulton via New Media Curating - https://www.jiscmail.ac.uk/cgi-bin/webadmin?A0=NEW-MEDIA-CURATING
Hi everyone.
I wanted to share the open call for the upcoming new edition of Game on! El arte en juego, in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
Once again we will have an international section. And we are receiving submissions for artgames, experimental games, non-games, seriousgames...
Game on! El arte en juego is an exhibition that explores the connections between games, art and technology. The exhibit fosters the crossings of two fields: new media art and videogames. It questions the logic and limits of videogames, diving in the current debates of game studies and inviting new media artists and academics into the discussion.
It has been running since 2009. This will be its fifth edition, so far it has been hosted in Buenos Aires main cultural centers and been invited to present special editions at various technology and arts festivals in Argentina.
Game on! El arte en juego is focused on the local Argentinean indie games and new media arts scene, but there is a reserved section for international video games that explore the boundaries of art and games itself.
The exhibition will be held at the C3 (Science Cultural Center) Buenos Aires, Argentina in December 2017

You are welcome to apply and spread the word!
I am also working on my Master Thesis on curatorial practice regarding videogames, so I am really interesting in hearing from other experiences and exploring the possibility of including a track on this subject within the context of the exhibit.
Thanks.
Luján
