===== Post Doc "Next generation image enhancement device for low vision patients" =====
Job description
Applications are invited for a full-time Post-Doctoral Researcher to work within the School of Life and Health Sciences under Professor James Wolffsohn in a collaboration with our industry partner. The successful candidate will work on an Innovate UK-funded project to develop and evaluate vision enhancement solutions for low vision patients.
The project is a collaboration between Aston University and the small-to-medium enterprise company Give Vision, with weekly clinical support from Moorfield’s eye hospital. The project seeks to develop the next generation of vision enhancement powered by on-the-fly image manipulation. The current prototype can be found at www.givevision.net. The successful candidate will work as part of a small team which allows for engagement in all development activities, with an emphasis on image enhancements. The project allows for flexibility in the applicant choosing a focus based on their expertise. You will notice the broad background detailed in ‘desired’ and we do not expect an applicant to tick each individual box; if you are enthusiastic, dedicated and think you would be a good fit, get in touch and we will consider you.
