A technical specialist required to turn data into insight through the creation of tools and processes. Using a variety of data science techniques, with a particular focus on portfolio optimisation and visualisation.
Responsibilities
Develop and apply analytics that can be used within retail banking.
Optimisation and visualisation of predictive and financial models, applying machine learning techniques, enabling decisions based on the outcomes of the models.
Provide support to the other areas of the business to enable them to meet their objectives.
Gathering the requirements of business problems as inputs to models and feeding back to customers in simple terms the outcomes of complex techniques, gaining buy in, to implement outcomes.
Develop understanding of real time decisioning alongside ability to build models capable of fitting into this framework, constructing/testing decision flows and building business cases for implementation.
Maintaining and updating knowledge of Data Science innovation and developments ensuring the techniques used are the most appropriate for the situation and the tools are best suited for the job. Being the knowledge point for any queries regarding predictive analytics.
Be innovative and think about solutions from a different perspective. Explore new sources of data, techniques and implementation routes.
Work in collaboration with other Data Scientists to deliver the best solution.
