There's no stopping the entropy, Winnie. You blink, and you're covered
with the stuff.

You may strike it lucky sometimes; or it might come out to bite you
later, causing another mystery. There are many documents on grid-ware
configuration (Yaim Guide, ARGUS documents, etc.) and there has been
discussion about it over the years. The consensus, I think, is crystal
clear:
For The Sake of Your Sanity, you _must_ harmonise these accounts across
your cluster (unless you have compelling reasons to do otherwise.) So
I'm providing a Python application, with data, that we use to harmonise
it all here at Liverpool. You'll have to add values for your site. Put
in dummy values for Torque (or leave them as they are) if you don't use it.
Note: we do not export/mount/share the gridmapdir now. It is not
necessary with ARC/Condor.
Cheers,
Ste
