Hi,
I just started to use Neuropower to calculate power of my fMRI study. Below is some message from previous post:
(1) use only the 10 first subjects
(2) perform a group analyses
(3) upload the resulting statistical map to https://neuropower.shinyapps.io/neuropower, and follow the instructions. Now you’ll now how many subjects you’ll need for a high-powered study
(4) Discard these 10 subjects and use only the subsequent subjects for your final analysis
My questions are, first, for (3), I have performed one contrast using an one-sample t-test in SPM. Should I upload con_0001.img, spmT_0001.img, or other file?
Second, for power calculation, which power is usually used and considered appropriate? 80%?
Third, from Neuropower website, we can also upload previously collected data ("You or your colleagues might have data lying around with an experimental setup comparable to your new study. You can use these data"). I'm wondering about how "comparable" it should be between my colleague's experiment and my experiment, because it is hard to have similar experimental design. Any clearer instructions?
Jose
