Hi all,
Apologies for cross posting.
At 17:50 on Thursday 29th of June we're doing an 'In Conversation with' type event as part of Edinburgh International Film Festival. I'll be talking on stage at Screen 2 at Filmhouse with Jim Hickey, former Director of both the Film Festival and Filmhouse. We'll be using clips from the Robbie Coltrane hosted documentary 'Hooray for Holyrood' for discussion. Hooray for Holyrood will be shown the next day. Jim has some amazing stories about people and events that happened over the years he has worked there and it really shows that Edinburgh's Film Festival reputation as a world leading film festival is truly deserved!
We hope people will be able to share their memories to add to EIFF's archives, as much of the feel of the events, people and experiences weren't captured through what is left in the traditional archives of posters, minutes, planning documentation, programmes.
The event is free so please do come along and join us! Jim and I will also be in the Filmhouse bar afterwards to continue the discussion about the history of film and the film festival in Edinburgh. Tickets are available from 10am on the day: https://www.edfilmfest.org.uk/2017/behind-curtain-70-years-eiff
Thanks
Rachel
