Hi Donna
One factor to think about is that there does appear to be a strong association between stress/depression and epilepsy. The following link discusses this in detail https://synapse.koreamed.org/DOIx.php?id=10.3988/jcn.2014.10.3.175
Have your cohort of employees also presented with mental health issues?
Regards
Karen

Subject: [OCC-HEALTH] Epilepsy amongst young workers
Good morning Folks
One of my clients (a call centre environment) employees a large number of young employees (i.e. age 18-25). Whilst looking at the data I have collected over the last year, I note the 2nd largest health reason for referral relates to epilepsy. There are many different types of epilepsy and most are fairly well managed, but some need additional support/adjustments.
Does any of you have any research regarding rises in Epilepsy amongst young workers (many of whom are gamers out of work) or is this fairly typical in this age group. I have contacted epilepsy.org and am awaiting some feedback, but would be grateful for any feedback from my OH community out there!
Thank you in anticipation.
Donna
