Dear All,
We are in the process of introducing RFID in our new Library.
Our Journal collection is for reference only. Latest issues will be displayed on the ground floor and the old copies will be shelved on upper floors.
We are thinking about best way of securing this collection.
I would like to find out from you what do you do with Journals in your Library, do you tag all of them to keep them secure in the Library?
Also do you label them in any other way? For example to distinguish new issue from the old ones?
We would like to keep it clear for users and shelving team, to easily identify which copy should be displayed and which shelved, without a need of checking how frequently this periodical is issued.
Any ideas? I will share with you any suggestions I have received.
Many thanks
Ben Kieliszek
