Dear all,
A quick note to say thank you to all those who participated in the
BISA 42nd annual conference.
The CPD working group put on eleven panels; each produced fascinating
discussion and all were well-attended. In particular, our plenary
(co-organised with the Poststructural Politics Working Group)
attracted a large and engaged audience. In our business meeting we
discussed ideas for future projects and we have some interesting
initiatives to announce shortly. We also welcome members to contact us
with ideas for activities to conduct under the CPD banner - just get
in touch.
We are grateful to members and convenors of other BISA working groups,
and the conference organisers, with whom we collaborated. As convenors
we look forward to working together in the future. Finally, a big
thank you to the outgoing convenors (in particular Meera Sabaratnam)
for their hard work in putting together CPD stream at the conference.
An excellent standard has been set which we look forward to continuing
at next year's conference.
Best wishes,
Kerem Nisancioglu, Nivi Manchanda, Lisa Tilley and Duncan Bell
