We are seeking an experienced academic with proven leadership skills from any of the disciplines we are active in (http://www.lancaster.ac.uk/media/lancaster-university/content-assets/documents/fass/faculty/FASSbrochure.pdf ).
You will bring experience of inter-disciplinary and collaborative research that connects to international debates around culture, landscape and environment. Taking Ruskin as an inspiration, you will work with us to drive forward our vision and plans to create a Centre of Excellence in interdisciplinary arts and humanities research and teaching that engages across the wider disciplinary spectrum and seeks to engage with natural and built environments.
You will make a strong contribution to REF return in terms of both outputs and impact and will play a key role in research grant acquisition and income generation. You will also play a key role in developing our strategic engagement agenda by forging productive partnerships with external organisations and agencies with an interest in culture, landscape and environment.
This post will be for a five-year term in the first instance and negotiable thereafter.
If successfully appointed, you will simultaneously be appointed to an appropriate academic department on an indefinite basis.
