Summary:
As a member of the analytics team, you will provide a comprehensive portfolio of infrastructure, data analysis, training and development. This is a unique opportunity for you to participate in world-class research while applying best practice and developing new analytical skills and building on your existing expertise. As part of the Bioinformatics hub, you will be working directly with researchers primarily in the Faculty of Science Departments of Molecular Biology and Biotechnology and Biomedical Science, on projects ranging from interpretation of single cell transcriptomics and genome sequences in humans and model organisms to discovery of plant development genes. This is a great opportunity to build your career with a cohesive, interactive team of experienced bioinformaticians.
Applications are invited from a PhD level bioinformatician with experience in the design and analysis of experiments that use next generation sequencing to gain information on gene expression regulation. Experience in adapting existing analysis tools to the data and developing of novel analysis tools is also desirable.
You will hold a PhD in a biomedical or quantitative science (or equivalent experience) and have evidence of working directly with wet laboratories to perform analyses. You will have a good working knowledge of biology, genomics, genetics and cell biology and proven ability to interpret and analyse high dimensional data sets and present results synthetically.
