The salary will be paid at Grade 6, £32,958 to £39,324 per annum, plus £2,623 per annum London Allowance. This post will be open-ended.
The successful applicant will work within an established team in the King’s Clinical Trials Unit (KCTU). The post holder will be responsible for providing statistical support to researchers planning and conducting clinical trials in mental health and neuroscience. The post holder will be expected to collaborate with clinical researchers to plan, monitor, analyse, and report randomized controlled trials. In addition, the post holder may contribute to the teaching programme of the Biostatistics and Health Informatics Department and participate in applied statistics research.
The successful candidate will have a formal qualification in statistics or a discipline with a substantial statistical content. Familiarity with statistical software packages such as STATA and/or R is essential as is competence in standard medical statistics for clinical trials. The successful candidate will be motivated and self-disciplined, possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, and be able to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
The selection process will take the form of a panel based interview.
