Applications are invited for the above position working as part of the Statistics team in the North Wales Organisation for Randomised Trials in Health and Social Care (NWORTH).
Working as part of a highly motivated team of statisticians, the post-holder will contribute to a range of grant submissions and active studies being undertaken at the Clinical Trials Unit. The post-holder will contribute to the design, management and analysis of clinical trials and other research studies being undertaken by NWORTH and will undertake statistical consultancy as part of NWORTH’s Research Design and Conduct Service for Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board and Powys Teaching Health Board. In addition, they will work with the Director of NWORTH and Principal Statistician to help in the development of relevant methodological projects being undertaken at the Unit.
The successful candidate should have a MSc (Hons) in Statistics or Mathematics, (or an allied subject with a strong statistical component). They will have practical knowledge of several essential statistical methodologies and knowledge of at least one mainstream statistical software package. They must be able to demonstrate experience of undertaking statistical analysis of research projects. Excellent team working, written and oral communication skills are essential, as is the ability to prioritise and time-manage work activities.
